Fantoft Student Accommodation

This student village with 1300 residential units is situated approximately 5 km south of Bergen city centre. The busride to the city centre takes only 10-15 minutes. If you hold a student card, you get up to 40 % discount on your bus card.

The accommodation is provided in four different buildings ranging from 2 storeys in the N-block to 18 storeys in the C- and D-block.

Single rooms

In a single room where you share kitchen and bathroom with one other student, the kitchen alcove is furnished with fridge with freezer compartment, one hotplate and a table with two chairs.

For those who prefer more privacy, we have a bachelor flat with private kitchen facilities and bathroom. The kitchen alcove is fitted with a fridge with freezer compartment and two hotplates.

Or you can choose a single room where you have a private bathroom but share your kitchen with seven other residents. The communal kitchens have a cooker, lockable cupboards, fridge with freezer compartment and a table with chairs.  

In addition there are flats for couples, apartments and family flats with private kitchen and bathroom.

All rooms are equipped with curtains, shower curtain, bed,  desk and an office chair, shelf, cupboard and fitted lamps. All residents have free access to the Internet, cable TV and internal telephone.

The surroundings                       

Close to the student house you will find a sports hall, a super market, post office, kindergarten and outdoor surroundings great for various outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. There are many pleasant walks in the immediately surrounding area. Gamlehaugen, the Royal Residence in Bergen, is within walking distance. Those who enjoy music and socialising can visit Club Fantoft five nights a week.
