Cleaning Nattland

Routine for cleaning of apartments at Nattland   

·        Concrete walls:Remove stains with lukewarm soapy water using a cleaning cloth

·        Bathroom walls: Dampen walls, apply scrubbing cream or similar, scrub, rinse and dry.

·        Woodwork: All woodwork must be scrubbed with " grønnsåpevann" . First against the grain and then with the grain. This applies to the tables, benches, drawers, shelves, cupboards, stairs, banisters and doors. Remember to wash inside the drawers and cupboards and behind the kitchen sink unit.

·        Windows: Must be cleaned in the entire apartment, both on the inside and the outside.

·        Lamps: Whip off dust and stains on lamps and lampshades.

·        Refrigerator: Must be de-iced. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice. Wash with lukewarm soapy water. Leave refrigerator door ajar/open when you leave. If the refrigerator is left switched on, then the door must be closed. Draw the fridge out and wash behind and underneath.

·        Cooker: Scrub the cooking plates, clean the oven using oven-cleaner. Don’t forget the glass door and the backside of the oven.

·        Bathroom: Must be cleaned over, under and behind. The toilet bowl should be cleaned with   "Jif" scrubbing cream.

·        Wash: Scrub stainless steel units, tap fixtures and drain cover with scrubbing cream. Porcelain fixtures must first be dampened then scrubbed with scrubbing cream, rinsed and dried. The bathroom drain cover must be removed and cleaned of hair etc.

·        Floor: Clean thoroughly.  The floor must be dry before polishing. After giving the floors one coat of polish, let it dry. Then give it another coat of polish.

·        Scrub and polishing wax is available from “ Superkontoret”

·        If there are any defects in your apartments, please send a damage report before leaving.

Please send an e-mail to make an appointment to check your apartment renhold.nattland@sib.no  the appointment for the check has to be on the day you are hand in the key. The key must be handed in by 12 pm the day your lease expires. The key must be handed in at the reception at the Student Centrel. 

Please note that if your apartment is not cleaned according to instructions, a cleaning fee will be taken from your deposit.
