About SiB
The main task of the Student Welfare Organisation in Bergen (SiB) is to contribute to your well-being during your time as a student in Bergen. We organise student housing, cafeterias, child care, counselling services, sports activities, academic bookshops and a career centre - to mention but a few of our student welfare services.
We also support a large number of student associations and
initiatives. By improving the social, cultural and material conditions
of the student community, SiB aims to contribute to a positive
learning environment in Bergen.
There is a wide range of offers for members of SiB, some of which you
will make use of nearly every day as a student in Bergen. The following
ten institutions of higher education in Bergen are members of The
Student Welfare Organisation in Bergen (SiB):

Economics and Business Administration (NHH)

Norwegian Teacher Academy (NLA)
NLA College of Teacher Education
Students at these institutions who have paid the current
semester fee automatically becomes members of SiB. This payment is also
required in order to register for exams. ERASMUS/SOKRATEs and NORDPLUS
students are members on the basis of their exchange
programmes. They are entitled to the same services from SiB as all
other registered students without having to pay the semester fee. With
a valid student identification card, you can make use of all SiBs
student welfare services.
